About Us

Carolyn Martens - Co-owner
Registered Massage Therapist

Carolyn has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2012. She uses a combination of deep and relaxation techniques as well as hot and cold jade stones of different shapes to relax the nervous system, decrease inflammation and soreness and encourage circulation for a very effective relief of trigger points and tense muscles.

She has a passion for helping people continue to enjoy their hobbies, because having a work/life balance is very important. Carolyn spent 2 years providing massage therapy to patients in the ALS society in their homes, long-term facilities and hospitals. She has additional certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage which she uses in treatments as a preventative measure to avoid lymphedema and swelling after surgery, pregnancy, lymph node removal, or even having a sedentary job.

Jasmine Chan - Registered Massage Therapist

Jasmine’s empathetic nature made it clear she should pursue a career in healthcare. She graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy and relocated to Kamloops to start her RMT career in 2021. Her treatment style ranges from light to deep pressure using general Swedish massage, golgi tendon organ release, and trigger point release techniques to promote tissue health.

She looks at the client as a whole and believes that mental and emotional health are just as important as physical health.

Outside of work you can find her hiking with her dog, camping in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Carley PATJAS - Registered Massage Therapist

After completing her Registered Massage Therapy program at VCC Kelowna Campus in November 2018, Carley has been practicing as an RMT and couldn't be happier going to work. She believes that with one on one communication with her clients, everyone can benefit from massage therapy; whether it be relaxation, preventitive, or rehab focused. She uses Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point release, myofascial release, and joint mobilization to help her clients achieve their health and wellness goals.

In her free time, you can find Carley out hiking or snowshoeing on many of the Kamloops trails with her dogs. On days that are better suited for indoor activities you can find her inside reading a good book, or stuck on a puzzle.

Alisoun Payne - non-registered Massage Practitioner

A graduate of the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, Alisoun has worked professionally in many prestigious spas and clinics since 2015.  She is a yoga instructor RYT500 from the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga and Vancouver School of Yoga.  She is also trained in Thai Massage at the Nan Community College, Thailand, in Integrated Fascial Therapy at KineConcept in Montreal, QC, and in Solace Organic Spa modalities on Salt Spring Island, BC.

She brings to her approach a unique knowledge of anatomy based on the moving body cultivated from her 30-year career as a dance, circus, and martial artist.  She works in multiple modalities, including Hot Stone Reflexology, and Lomi Lomi, available as unique, stand-alone treatments, and also offers an Integrated Deep Tissue massage that incorporates joint release, fascial therapy, relaxation, and deep tissue techniques into one treatment effective for whole body relaxation, while focusing on the release of tension in specific areas.

Alisoun is also a sea kayak guide and instructor in the summer months, working in remote and beautiful destinations on the west coast.  In her free time, she enjoys cycling, cycle touring, swimming, yoga, and xcountry and downhill skiing.

Gabrielle himschoot - registered Massage Therapist

Gabrielle Himschoot graduated from CDI College in early 2019 ready to take on the world of health care as a new RMT.

Gabrielle started her holistic health career in 2013 graduating as an esthetician. After 6 years working on relaxation and destressing patients, She got her RMT license in early 2019.

She strongly believes that Pain and injury never has one cause. From environment, to thoughts, to people you surround yourself with, there are many variables in which the body makes adjustments to everyday. Each body reacts differently to different touch- this is why its important to have treatments uniquely tailored to the patient.  Gabrielle believes that the body has the tools to help heal itself- massage is just a kickstart to the process.

When not working, Gabrielle is often lost in a book, relaxing with the family or taking her dogs out for an adventure.
